I was told that a new logic board would cost $800 and I only bought the computer for $900... so it has sat on my shelf for a year.
Anyone know how I can get a used logic board for less?
Email: cor.contact@gmail.com
Thanks!

Re: ibook G4 needs a logic board.... can you help?
Mon, November 19, 2007 - 10:31 AMlook for a dead ibook on ebay and use it as parts! (I try not to reccommend ebay because they suck) but this would be the best place to find a cheap used/dead ibook. -

ALERT: Shamless Self-Promotion Follows!
Mon, March 17, 2008 - 12:06 PMThis is like changing the engine in a car, it takes forever and is the most complicated repair that you can do, because ~everything~ has to come out and go back together. That's why, if you get a professional to do it, it's not cheap. Personally, I'd recommend getting a refurbished unit, to replace it - perhaps with a PowerBook (since the iBooks are notorious for logic-board failures). Check here to see what we have in stock:

If you do want to repair this unit, we can do it for about $500 (depending on the specific model that you have):
