ibook G4 needs a logic board.... can you help?

I was told that a new logic board would cost $800 and I only bought the computer for $900... so it has sat on my shelf for a year.

Anyone know how I can get a used logic board for less?

    This is like changing the engine in a car, it takes forever and is the most complicated repair that you can do, because ~everything~ has to come out and go back together. That's why, if you get a professional to do it, it's not cheap. Personally, I'd recommend getting a refurbished unit, to replace it - perhaps with a PowerBook (since the iBooks are notorious for logic-board failures). Check here to see what we have in stock:
